March 2008 (continued)

More pics....

March 2008

We have alot of stuff going on this month.... March 4th....Welcome to the neighborhood...Sean Patrick Schuler....Congratulations to Eric and Brigette. March 4th....was also Rodeo Round-up at school. The girls were too cute! March 9th...Happy First Birthday....Dylan Evans....wow, this year flew by. He sure did enjoy his party...cake and all! March 14th...Happy 4th Birthday....Hannah Rose....my sweetie, we love you....where have the 4 years gone? This year Hannah wanted to have a Build-a-Bear party (March 8th). It was fun. She invited our neighborhood friends and her friends from school. Afterward, we went to the food court and everyone had Chick-fil-a and cookie cake. She opened her presents and they all hopped on the carousel for a quick ride. It was a great evening. March 9th...Danny bought tickets to Hannah Montana so we headed to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for the day. It was fun. Rachel and Kayla rode with us and we met the McKays there. The girls were about 10 minutes shy of seeing a calf born...we avoided alot of questions (whew)...they got to see chicks hatch...that was cool. We rode bumper cars...they loved that. Emma was bored by the rodeo but perked up when it was time for Hannah Montana to sing. I was pleasantly surprised. She actually put on a good concert. March 15th...we went to Louisiana to visit Danny's maw maw. She's not doing too well these days. The girls hadn't seen her in a couple of years. We also got to visit with Granny and Alexandra. We had a good time. We also ate some awesome Louisiana crawfish...nobody makes 'em like the cajuns, cher! March 30...another competition...Dance Showcase....the girls had to be there at 6:30am, dance their tap routine at 7:49 and their jazz routine at 8:14am. But it didn't exactly go that smoothly. One of the girls forgot their hat...and Dad was in a mad rush to get to the competition...to say the least the competition was delayed by 15 minutes. Ultimately this meant that they had 5 minutes to get off stage, to the dressing room, change into their jazz outfit and get back to the stage. Talk about stress....that was pure hell!!! Gina calls it "a learning experience" for the girls. I call it a "Valium moment" for the moms!!! I hope that never happens again!! With all the craziness, the girls won 2nd place in each dance. I think they were feeling some of our stress.

February 2008

February 14th.....a big day at school...Emma and Hannah had parties and exchanged valentines with their friends. They had a great time. We also had a little party at home...cupid left them some surprises. Danny also had a couple of surprises for me....a Coach wrist purse that matches my larger bag and Coach perfume....very nice. He's tired of carrying my lipstick and driver's license when we go out. Teehee. February 2...was the Father-Daughter dance at AJDC. Danny and Emma looked so handsome/cute. They were all dressed up. Once they got there, they were given paper corsages. Danny's was pinned on and Emma's was worn on her wrist. They had a DJ that spun some groovy tunes and food for them to munch on. I think Emma totally enjoyed herself. February 23rd....AJDC pre-prep....1st competition...The girls were awesome. Emma couldn't have had a bigger smile on her face if she tried. She was beautiful. They looked like little professionals. Emma's Nanny Kerry asked her what she liked most about dancing....her reply....being on stage in front of the audience with everyone watching her dance!!! The girls won first place at this competition, first place overall for their age group and they won a special ribbon for the cutest "Shirley Temples".

January 2008

Not too much going on this month. The usual dance and gymnastic classes and the daily work grind. Yuck! The girls are enjoying school. Emma has had her friend Paige over for a couple of play dates. It is too funny to watch. They love to dance and their favorite artist is Hannah Montana...go figure! I so wish I'd had easy access to the camcorder. There was so much booty shakin' going on!

2008....A new year!

Danny and I brought the new year in as we normally do....in bed before the ball drops. Sleeping, of course! What a boring life we lead!!!!teehee Our neighbors were trying to set the neighborhood on fire with rogue fireworks. We have a huge pasture behind the homes in front of us that they set on fire. They actually had to call the fire department to come put it out!! Scary! Maybe next year, New Year's Eve will be more eventful?
